SUB_CLASSES is the data file that stores the . Each SUB_CLASSES record contains a single Sub-Class. It is a data file used primarly on Financian Statements (e.g., Balance Sheet and Income Statement, etc.). Each SUB_CLASSES record has fields for Sub-Class Number (i.e., SUB_NUM) and Sub-Class Description (i.e., SUB_DESC) for each Sub Class. These fields are updated when a new Sub-Class is added. See related data files:   ACCOUNTS Field Name: Type: Length: Index: Description: SUB_SEQ sequence x SUB_NUM number 0dp x sub-class number SUB_DESC char 30 sub-class description LEGEND: Type indicates whether a field contains characters (i.e., "char") which contains any combination of letters or numbers, numbers (which has a set number of decimal places), or integers (i.e., numbers that range from 0 to 255 only). Length shows the size of a field. Character fields have lengths that are fixed, depending on their purpose. Description and note fields have a length of 32000, which make them variable-length; their actual size depends on how much data is entered into them. Index indicates fields that are indexed in the database, which makes them key fields for finding and sorting data.
