Traffic happens every day
With
production management tools like status codes and
milestones, a traffic manager takes charge of traffic with
an organized and detailed overview of every active job.
The
Daily Status Report lists open jobs by client, emphasizing
due dates, the current production status, and status/traffic
notes. Since it doesn't show costs or billings, it can be
freely distributed throughout the shop. Many other job list
reports are available, too, highlighting job details from
various perspectives.
Traffic reports instantly
Traffic
managers and lists of deadlines are inseparable--unless a
list is lost. Wouldn't it be great if those important
milestones in a job's development and their due dates were
always in one place and available instantly?
Milestone
due dates are easily edited for one or many jobs at a time.
Milestones reflect the job type. A public relations job,
with milestones like estimate approval, copy approval, and
follow up calls, is different than an ad placement job, with
milestones like
media plan, art to publisher, and
tear-sheet. The Weekly Traffic Report shows all of a
job's milestones providing an overview of important
events--the big picture.
Tell everyone where to go (and what to do) nicely
Job
tickets are the heart of Clients & Profits and just the
beginning of better scheduling. Job tasks are part of every
job ticket. A job task is so flexible, it can be scheduled,
estimated, costed, and billed. And it's smart enough to know
the difference.
Tasks
are the steps taken to get the job done: layout,
copywriting, printing, and delivery. Tasks, once scheduled,
contain a wealth of information: who's responsible,
|
|
when
they're due, and when to start. Tasks specs, important
details about the work, accompany tasks on all scheduling
reports.
Scheduling
reports are so flexible, they can be printed from any
perspective-- by staffer, due date, start date, job ticket,
or task. Staffers can print their own job schedules (a real
time saver) or managers print and distribute them.
Updating details: an agency-wide activity
With
all the production, trafficking, and scheduling information
in one place, keeping details up to date is much easier.
Traffic
managers quickly update many jobs at one time without having
to find each job individually. Everyone, as they enter their
daily time, can update scheduling and traffic information if
they have the right access. Staffers know when their work is
finished. Updating their own tasks saves time for traffic
managers and takes no time for staffers--it's a win-win
situation!
Managing
traffic flow is a tough job, but Clients & Profits is
dedicated to making it easier and more organized, less of a
circus juggling act.
Gain
the advantage of: centerally-located production specs within
job tickets that never disappear; versatile reporting and
editing capabilities; better communication between
co-workers because updated details are immediately available
throughout the shop; and best of all, the peace of mind that
the words "no more missed deadlines" can bring.
