Clients & Profits Patches

Patches are mini-applications that fix bugs found in Clients & Profits between regularly scheduled updates. They repair selected windows, menus, or reports in your Clients & Profits application quickly and easily. These patches will be included in the next Clients & Profits update. IMPORTANT NOTE: It isn't necessary to download and install every patch found on this page. To save yourself time, only install the fixes you actually need. These patches only fix very specific functions or procedures, which are described below. If a fix you're looking for isn't described here, then it isn't included in these patches. To install a Clients & Profits patch: 1 Quit Clients & Profits, then open just the C&P Player. 2 Choose File > Open Application then select the patch application (for example, PATCH.LBR). 3 When prompted, select and open the Clients & Profits application. The patch takes a few seconds to run, then prompts you to click OK. Repeat these steps on every PC that needs it. You don't need to install the patch everywhere. Patches should only install it on the workstations of the people who need it. 4 Start Clients & Profits to continue working. C&P Classic/Pro 5.0.x / Canadian Checks Patch - updated 9/8/06   CanadianChecksPatch2 Windows / Mac (23k) This patch adds the option to print newly redesigned Canadian checks. The new pre-printed check stock, which is standard throughout Canada, is to be used for all business checking by the end of 2006. C&P Classic/Pro/Job Tracker 5.0.x / BO Reports Patch - released 12/5/04   CP50xReportPatch Windows / Mac (24k) This patch fixes a bug that prevented the "broadcast order" option to be selected from the "...and for type" pop-up menu in the Print Insertion/Broadcast Order Reports window. This fix is included in the Clients & Profits 5.0.8 update (released July 31, 2005). C&P Classic 5.0.1 / Edit Job Traffic Patch - released 4/14/03   CL501JobTrafficPatch Windows / Mac (40k) This patch removes the error message that occurs when editing job traffic from the Job Ticket window. The error was a cosmetic problem that only prevented the new status description to be displayed on the Job Ticket window. It did not affect saving any changes to the job's traffic information. This patch is optional, and is only needed if you downloaded the C&P Classic 5.0.1 before 4/14/03. C&P Classic 5.0.5 / Client Statements Patch - released 8/5/04   CL505StatementsPatch Windows / Mac (24k) This patch fixes a bug in the printed statement that caused the client name and address to appear incorrectly. C&P Classic 5.0.1 / Edit Job Traffic Patch - released 4/14/03   CL501JobTrafficPatch Windows / Mac (40k) This patch removes the error message that occurs when editing job traffic from the Job Ticket window.
