Clients & Profits Quick Checker

Quick Checker 5 is an plug-in application that automatically runs quick checks on any Clients & Profits 5.x databases. The Quick Checker application can be set to check a database for damage every one, 5, 15, 30, and 60 minutes. Once started, the Quick Check will run automatically forever until it is stopped. This plug-in will tell you within minutes when your database has become damaged, which can help track down the workstation, server, or network causes of data corruption. The application can run together with Clients & Profits 5.x as a plug-in application. It will usually be run by the system manager, on his or her own computer, to pinpoint exactly when a database become damaged. The application features a Quick Check Status window, which constantly monitors your database. The Status window also features a "Check Now" button that can run a quick check on the database instantly. If damage is found, bells sound and a warning flashes on the Status window. Clicking on the warning opens the Quick Check Log, which identifies where the damaged occurred and provides a Repair utility to fix it on-the-spot (once all other users have quit Clients & Profits first, however). IMPORTANT NOTE: The quick check function is identical to the quick check that runs each time a manager-level user starts Clients & Profits. It is not intended to run permanently, since using another part of Clients & Profits will stop the automatic quick check. . Clients & Profits Quick Checker 5.0 -    Quick Checker  Mac / Windows To use the Quick Checker plug-in application: 1 Double-click on the Clients & Profits Player. 2 Choose File > Open Application then open Clients & Profits and your database as you do normally. 3 Choose File > Open Plug-in Application then open the Quick Checker 5 application. The Quick Check menu appears at the top right side of the screen. 4 Choose Quick Check > Show Status to open the Quick Check Status window. Use the Quick Check menu commands to configure the automatic quick check to check the database every one, 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Or, click the Start Quick Check button to run a quick check on the database now. To quit the Quick Checker 1 Choose Quick Check > Close Plug-in Application.
