McGRAW-HILL TO INCLUDE CLIENTS & PROFITS AD IN MARKETING TEXTBOOK
"Everybody Needs Clients & Profits" ad will be published in 14th edition of Basic Marketing

April 20, 2001 -- OCEANSIDE, CA -- "Nag. Nag. Nag." That line of copy from a Clients & Profits magazine ad got the attention of professors Willian D. Perreault, Jr. and E. Jerome McCarthy, who chose to include the ad in the upcoming 14th edition of Basic Marketing, a college textbook published by McGraw-Hill.

The half-page ad for Clients & Profits, an agency management system for Mac and Windows, , titled Everybody Needs Clients & Profits, features original illustrations of a typical creative type and a typical accounting person to show how a system like Clients & Profits works equally well for the shop’s business side and creative side. The ad was created by Pieter Horjus of Horjus Design and Mark Robillard, developer of Clients & Profits.

The ad’s copy reinforces the message of different kinds of people working together: "Every day, accountants everywhere nag creatives for their time slips. And every day creatives resist. In the battle of the business side vs. the creative side, call a truce with Clients & Profits. It’s the only software your shop needs to track clients, jobs, time, costs, billings, and profits. It’s software for the business of being creative."

“The ad has been drawing fantastic response from readers,” says Mark Robillard, the developer of Clients & Profits. More than 2,500 new leads can be tracked directly to the ad, which ran in advertising and design publications such as HOW and Communication Arts.

The ad will included in a kit which instructors can use to demonstrator concepts that appear in Basic Marketing as well as a condensed version titled Essential of Marketing. The publications will be published in 2002. McGraw-Hill is the nation’s largest educational materials provider.
